CEO and Chairman, Founder
Mr. Guy Sella is a co-founder of SolarEdge and has served as Chairman of the board of directors and Chief Executive Officer since 2006.
Prior to founding SolarEdge, Mr. Sella was a partner at Star Ventures, a leading venture capital firm, where he led investments in several startups, including AeroScout, Inc. (acquired by Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.) and Vidyo, Inc.Previously, Mr. Sella acted as the director of technology for the Israeli National Security Council and as the secretary for the National Committee for Cyber Protection. Mr. Sella also served as the head of the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems.
Mr. Sella holds a B.S. in Engineering from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ronen Faier joined SolarEdge in 2011 as our Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Faier served from 2008 to 2010 as the chief financial officer of modu Ltd, a privately owned Israeli company. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr. Faier held several senior finance positions, including chief financial officer at msystems prior to its acquisition by SanDisk Corporation in 2006.
Mr. Faier holds a CPA (Israel) license, an MBA (with Honors) from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
VP Global Sales
Mr. Zvi Lando joined SolarEdge in 2009 as our Vice President, Global Sales.
Mr. Lando had previously spent 16 years at Applied Materials, based in Santa Clara, California, where he held several positions, including process engineer for metal disposition and chemical vapor deposition systems, business manager for the Process Diagnostic and Control Group, vice president, and general manager of the Baccini Cell Systems Division in the Applied Materials Solar Business Group.
Mr. Lando holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa, and is the author of several publications in the field of chemical disposition.
VP Marketing and Product Strategy, Founder
Mr. Lior Handelsman co-founded SolarEdge in 2006 and currently serves as our Vice President, Marketing and Product Strategy where he is responsible for SolarEdge’s marketing activities, product management and business development.
Prior to co-founding SolarEdge, Mr. Handelsman spent 11 years at the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. At the ERD he held several positions including research and development power electronics engineer, head of the ERD’s power electronics group and manager of several large-scale development projects and he was a branch head in his last position at the ERD.
Mr. Handelsman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) and an MBA from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa.
VP General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Mrs. Rachel Prishkolnik joined SolarEdge in 2010 as our Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mrs. Prishkolnik served as the vice president, general counsel & corporate secretary of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. At Gilat she held various positions beginning as legal counsel in 2001 and becoming corporate secretary in 2004 and vice president, general counsel in 2007. Prior to Gilat, she worked at the law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Prishkolnik holds an LLB law degree from the Faculty of Law at the Tel Aviv University and a B.A. from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She is licensed to practice law and is a member of the Israeli Bar.
North America General Manager
Mr. Peter Mathews leads the North America team as General Manager for SolarEdge in the Americas and is responsible for all business activities.
He is a veteran of more than 25 years in the global semiconductor and solar industries in senior sales, marketing and business development roles. He has led various companies through the start-up, IPO and growth phases including Enecsys, Solyndra and FormFactor.
Europe General Manager
Mr. Alfred Karlstetter joined SolarEdge in 2015 as the General Manager of SolarEdge Europe.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Karlstetter was the VP of Global Sales for Samil Power, a global inverter company headquartered in China. From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Karlstetter was the VP of European Sales and Global Accounts for SMA, the world's largest inverter company. At SMA, Mr. Karlstetter was responsible for increasing market share through the development and implementation of sales strategies in new markets. Before entering the PV industry, Mr. Karlstetter held senior technology and sales roles in the semiconductor and electronics industry at KEMET Electronics and Epcos.
Mr. Karlstetter holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Applied Sciences.
Regional Representative, Italy
Elisa Baccini is well familiar with the solar industry thanks to her 20 years experience in the family business (Baccini spa) that she also managed in the last 10 years. Baccini spa was sold in February 2008 to the Californian multinational Applied Materials inc.
Mr. Udy Gal-On joined SolarEdge in 2012 as our Vice President, Operations. Mr. Gal-On has over 22 years of experience in systems and integrated circuits creation and manufacturing.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Gal-On served as vice president of engineering at ECI Telecom Ltd, from 2007 to 2012, managing ECI’s new product introduction and sustaining product support, presale technical forces, post-sale service highest escalation tier, and various design activities. Mr. Gal-On also served as product engineering department manager of the Cellular Processors unit at Intel Corp.’s Cellular & Handheld division, as vice president of operations for Mysticom Ltd. (Ethernet integrated circuits), and as executive director of Product Engineering at MultiLink Technology Corporation (high speed communication integrated circuits).
Mr. Gal-On holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Quality and Reliability Engineering from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa.
VP Core Technologies, Founder
Mr. Meir Adest co-founded SolarEdge in 2006 and has served since 2007 as our Vice President, Core Technologies where he is responsible for SolarEdge’s certification and long-term reliability of SolarEdge products and research of future technologies.
Prior to co-founding SolarEdge, Mr. Adest spent 7 years at the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. where he held a number of positions and managed large-scale techno-operational projects.
Mr. Adest holds a B.Sc in mathematics, physics, and computer science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Ilan Yoscovich joined SolarEdge in 2008 and currently serves as our Chief Technology Officer.
Mr. Yoscovich is responsible for leading our future technology strategy, managing some of the most innovative PV power harvesting development activities within the Company and overseeing research and development and product activities with respect to technology, intellectual property, performance and cost structure. Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Yoscovich served as chief technology officer of Slyde Technologies, a wireless technology start-up company between 2005 and 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Yoscovich spent 10 years with the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. During this period, Mr. Yoscovich held various research and development and management positions.
Mr. Yoscovich holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
VP Research & Development, Founder
Mr. Yoav Galin co-founded SolarEdge in 2006 and has served since our founding as our Vice President, Research & Development where he is responsible for leading the execution of our technology strategy, building and managing the technology team and overseeing research and development of SolarEdge’s innovative PV power harvesting products.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Galin served for 11 years at the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. During this period, Mr. Galin held various research and development and management positions.
Mr. Galin holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
VP Quality & Reliability
Mr. Alon Shapira joined SolarEdge in 2012 and currently serves as our Vice President, Quality and Reliability.
Prior to joining SolarEdge, Mr. Shapira served over 19 years in multiple leadership positions with the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. Among his positions, Mr. Shapira served as deputy to the head of the ERD and vice president, research and development of the ERD, and served for 7 years in the reliability department of the ERD.
Mr. Shapira holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering Systems (cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.
Chief Software Architect, Founder
Mr. Amir Fishelov is a co-founder of SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. and serves as its Chief Software Architect. Mr. Fishelov's responsibilities include managing the software group and overseeing the technical architecture of its software. Mr. Fishelov also leads the software projects developed by SolarEdge sub-contractors.
Prior to co-founding SolarEdge Technologies, Mr. Fishelov served for six and a half years in the Electronics Research Department (ERD), one of Israel's national labs which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems, where he held various positions. His first position at ERD was a Software Engineer, developing mission critical embedded applications and windows solutions. Following which, he went on to be software team leader. He then became the System Engineer of a complex project that included the development of a hardware and software system. In his last role at ERD, he served as the Project Manager of a large scale software project that included more than 30 engineers. Mr. Fishelov received the prestigious National Technological Innovation Award in 2001 and again in 2003.
Mr. Fishelov holds a B.A in computer science from the Open University in Israel.
